Subject: Extension of timeline for transition of 4 Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. into ITEP before the start of the academic session 2026-2027 instead of academic session 2025-2026.

 

 

The General Body of the Council in its 65th meeting held on 6th May 2025 considered the aforesaid matter and decided as under:

i. To extend the timeline for transition of 4-Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. into ITEP before the start of the academic session 2026-2027 instead of academic session 2025-2026 as decided by the Councilin its 56th meeting held on 25th March 2023 and notified vide Gazette Notification dated 30.01.2024. All the institutions recognised by NCTE under the omitted Appendix-13 of NCTE Regulations 2014 prior to its omission shall be allowed to enrol the students in B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. in the academic session 2025-2026.

ii. Those Teacher Education Institutions where the recognition/permission for transition from 4-Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. into ITEP has been granted by the Regional Committees of NCTE shall admit the students only in ITEP through National Testing Agency from the year 2025-2026 and not in 4-Year Integrated B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed.

2. The necessary Gazette Notification and other details will be issued by the NCTE in this regard separately. The above decision of the Council is for information of all the stakeholders.
