History:

S.V.S. College of Education was established in 2008 with the approval of NCTE,New Dehli. duly recognized by Govt of Karnataka and affiliated to Tumkur University Tumkur. It is one of the Institution own by S.V.S Health Education Trust, Kunigal Road, Tumkur. The college is situated in a prime locality in the city which is easily accessible from main Bus stand and city Railway Station, as well as from different parts of the city.

The college aims at preparing teachers who help to shape the tender minds into creative and innovative  teachers for the society. The institution has focused to meet the demands of modern society providing skillfull training to student teachers.

The SVS College of Teacher Education, Tumkur owes its origin to the dedicated efforts and dynamic leadership of prof. K.H. Paramashivaiah the founder president of SVS Health and Education Society.  He established the college in 2008, with a group of eminent personalities of Education.

Is to engage teachers with commitment, dedication and positive attitude towards students community and encourage them to adopt modern systematic technique of teaching and proper use of ICT based lessons in classrooms for promoting effective learning among students.

Is to promote thinking process, instill thinking abilities and to reinforce life skills and also to attain excellence in career education by providing quality education to our students under the meticulous mentorship of well qualified, experienced and dedicated teachers with a purpose to help the students to acquire the required abilities, capabilities, skills and emotions that are essentials for their future success.
